This is a 3D DNA model designed to assist in the education of DNA structure and the base pairing rule. It consists of a total of 8 bases, and 8 sugar-phosphate backbone pieces. The nitrogenous bases are colour coded and also have the first letter of the name of the base printed on it. The bases will only complementary pair with the appropriate base, and also only in a particular orientation. So the only way to get the model together is in the correct fashion. The bases also fit snugly into the binding site on the backbone and the backbone pieces also fit snugly together. This model is not snap together, it requires glue to get it to stay together. Acetone or superglue will be sufficient.
